Educational Background and Experience: Registered Nurse, Mercy Medical Center School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science, Business Management, Upper Iowa University, Master of Business Administration, University of Wisconsin.

Over 30 years of experience as a clinician, clinical data analyst, patient registry manager, and informaticist.

Work Focus: Primarily quality improvement, measurement, patient registries, and data reporting.

Daily Work Activities: I am responsible for the clinical and operational design of patient registries, data dictionary, and measurement research and creation.

Primary Project at the Current Time: I am currently working with the National Content Developer to provide guidance for CMS in reducing harms to patients on a national scale, providing clinical and measurement expertise to the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in developing electronic Clinical Quality Measures.

Three Projects that Demonstrate My Skill Set: (1) My work with the Certification Board for Infection Prevention and Control to determine value of certification for their members. (2) My work with ASCP to guide them to develop more than 30 quality measures, of which 14 were accepted as QCDR measures in the first year of the ASCP QCDR. (3) My work as the Associate Director of the CathPCI Registry to establish standard data elements, quality measures, enroll members in the registry, and educate members how to use the registry.
