Mr. Coy is responsible for strategy and executive oversight of ASCEND. He has over 35 years of experience in providing vision, leadership, and business acumen to a wide variety of organizations in the healthcare, education, research, information services, and technology industries.
Prior to forming ASCEND, Mr. Coy was the founder and Executive Director of IMPAQ Strategy, where he provided strategic consulting services to medical specialty societies and nonprofit organizations. He also created the Knowledge Interaction Tools™ conceptual model for product delivery. As Vice President of Inovalon, he established the Health Data Insights business line, the cornerstone of which was his creation of the concept of the MORE² Registry™, a revolutionary data warehouse supporting population health management and life sciences research. As Senior Vice President of the American College of Cardiology, he developed the business strategy that transformed the National Cardiovascular Data Registry into the nation’s largest and most successful medical society registry. He also led the creation of a digital product strategy that modernized distance learning and launched ACC's patient engagement website (CardioSmart). As the founder and President of eHealthFirst, he created Hospital Insight™, an innovative data warehouse and provider-based population health benchmarking tool that was acquired by UnitedHealthcare.
Mr. Coy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington Adventist University.
