ASCEND TO SUPPORT AHRQ AS IT BUILDS A SYNTHETIC HEALTH CARE RESEARCH DATABASE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2019
ASCEND will be leveraging its innovative cloud-based Intelligence Transformation Platform™, deep healthcare claims knowledge, data management expertise and partnership with BHI to support The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in building a Synthetic Health Care Research Database.
As part of this engagement, ASCEND will be partnering with IMPAQ International and NORC to support AHRQ in this high-profile project to provide federal researchers with a database to augment MEPS and H-CUP.

ASCEND DESIGNS PROOF OF CONCEPT TO EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING ADMINISTRATION: JUNE 26, 2019
ASCEND presented its proof of concept for technology innovation to support a re-imagined Job Corps enrollment process to the Employment & Training Administration of the US Department of Labor officials in late June. As part of a larger federal contractor effort, ASCEND was engaged to provide technical and operational support for the implementation of a new Job Corps Program Enrollment Services System (ESS).
The ASCEND proof of concept focuses on leveraging technology through our Intelligence Transformation Platform™ and the Knowledge Interaction Tools™ (KIT) conceptual model of product delivery to increase communication with Job Corps applicants, improving transparency across the process to foster accountability among stakeholders, and collecting real-time data to provide actionable insights to in-line managers and program officials.

ASCEND PROVIDES TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TO THE ANNIE E. CASEY FOUNDATION: MAY 3, 2019
ASCEND signed an Master Service Agreement (MSA) with the Annie E. Casey Foundation to provide technical support to the Foundation as they work to establish a consistent technical architecture for Foundation operations and data assets.
To kick off this partnership, ASCEND will work with the Juvenile Justice Strategy Group to develop a scalable environment for data collection and visualization based on the Intelligence Transformation Platform™ that can be used by grantees and researchers to support the groups growing research portfolio.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH BLUE HEALTH INTELLIGENCE: APRIL 1, 2019
ASCEND established a strategic partnership with Blue Health Intelligence (BHI), an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, owner of the industry's largest and most comprehensive, conformed healthcare database of integrated medical and pharmacy claims.
This partnership gives ASCEND access to BHI's database of more than 190+ million unique patients’ medical and pharmaceutical claims for use in its Intelligence Transformation Platform™ and related projects. These data provide insights into utilization, cost and access trends at local, regional, and national levels.
